Airbus A380 Passenger Door Demonstrator

As a subcontractor to Eurocopter Donauwörth, Stock Flight Systems developed and integrated the entire electronics for the full electric motor driven passenger door manufactured by Eurocopter for Airbus.

The system consists of a NECS-based local door control unit (LDCU) together with servo drives and high performance motors supplied by Maccon GmbH. The demonstrator system architecture developed by Stock Flight Systems employs CANaerospace as realtime communication bus between all subsystems and has been adopted for the serial production of the Airbus A380.
